The Experience

An Experience Unlike Any Other

We have some of the best habitat in eastern South Dakota. Farmed and groomed for pheasant hunting. The lodge has been in the business since 2003, hosting family and corporate hunts. The Lodge began sponsoring pheasant hunts for disabled Veterans in 2006. We’re proud to work hard at the finer details so that Veterans can visit, hunt and experience the Wings of Valor Lodge at no cost to themselves.

The Lodge

Situated on 160 acres of prime pheasant habitat, this totally accessible facility welcomes all veterans.  Designed by Sean Adams, a double amputee, there are no obstacles for anyone with any mobility issues. Located just 35 minutes from the Sioux Falls Regional Airport, transportation is a snap, as we have it covered.

The Layout

The six accessible suites along with other rooms accommodate up to 12 hunters during the stay at Wings of Valor Lodge. We are staffed by all volunteers, most of them Veterans themselves and willing to help you during your stay.

Supporting Those Who Have Served

β€œWings of Valor Lodge (WOVL) is an exceptional retreat for all veterans. Recently I was asked to take part in a pheasant hunt at the lodge; it was unbelievable. The staff was amazing and handled everything for us from airport pick-up meal preparation, and bird processing. I was able to reconnect with an old friend and made some new friends along the way. WOVL paid for my transportation to the lodge from Alaska! I can honestly say that WOVL is the single most impressive veteran-focused organization I have had the pleasure to be a part of. I would highly encourage any veteran who would like to reconnect with some old buddies from the service to contact and plan a bird hunt with WOVL.”
